A career built in travel retail
Dato' Prakadeesh Kumar began his career as IT and Admin Executive at Agate Group (M) Sdn Bhd. In 2005 he took charge of Agate Group's travel retail business and built the Plus Max brand within the industry.
Under his leadership the brand grew to 17 duty-free outlets and six bonded warehouses across four countries. His focus has been on opening new distribution channels, strengthening the supply chain and giving both products and the brand a distinct retail presence.
As majority shareholder and Managing Director of the Plus Max Group of Companies, he now oversees operations spanning duty-free shops, import and export, information technology, education, hospitality, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, real estate and food.
He founded Netseas DFS FZE in Ajman Free Zone in 2017 to give the group a UAE base for international trading.
